The Colorado Cookie Company is looking for a friendly, dependable person to support our storefront during daytime hours. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys helping customers, staying organized, and working in a small bakery environment.

Schedule

Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., approximately 25 hours per week.

Consistent weekday daytime availability is required. This is not an after-school position.

Additional hours may be required during busy periods, including major holidays, large corporate orders, and seasonal increases in business. November and December are our busiest months and may require additional hours and greater schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and helpful customer service
• Assist customers with in-store purchases
• Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries
• Answer customer questions and provide product information
• Take and process customer orders accurately
• Monitor and process orders received through DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub
• Process cash and credit card payments
• Prepare, package, and organize products for customer orders
• Prepare daily delivery orders for delivery staff
• Coordinate with bakery and delivery staff to ensure orders are complete, accurate, and ready on time
• Monitor product, packaging, and storefront inventory and report items that need to be restocked
• Keep the storefront, counters, and customer areas clean and organized
• Assist with other basic storefront and bakery tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Comfortable communicating with customers by phone, email, and in person
• Able to accurately process orders and payments
• Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and third-party delivery platforms
• Organized and attentive to detail
• Comfortable shifting between customer service, order preparation, and other daily priorities
• Previous retail, bakery, food-service, or customer-service experience is helpful but not required
• Able to stand for most of the shift and lift up to 40 pounds

As a cookie/cake decorator you will be experienced with both royal icing and buttercream decorating. This is a position that is part time for decorating storefront cookies as well as additional hours will be available when custom orders are placed by customers. We are looking for someone with experience with icing/buttercream however artists are encouraged to apply as the skills translate well to cookie decorating.

• $15.75 to $17.50 per hour based on skill and experience level

As a bakery assistant you will completing the daily bakes here in the bakery for the store and any custom orders. This position is part time/entry level and hours will vary based on demand for cookies/treats each week. The perfect candidate has their own transportation, is very reliable, doesn’t mind waking up early (shifts are 3-5 hours and begin at 6:00am) and is a self-starter as they often will arrive to open bakery and start bake before others arrive. Additional tasks outside of baking would be dishes, preparing/moving/counting doughs daily, scooping dough and assisting with making treats when needed.
